Support ongoing efforts across the Charlotte region to address hunger and food insecurity. These drives and mutual aid events are organized by community partners and faith groups working to ensure everyone has access to food and basic necessities.

Hearts United for Good (HUG)

Charlotte-based nonprofit providing groceries and essentials to hundreds of families each week. Currently hosting a Thanksgiving Food Drive to help families celebrate the holidays with a warm meal. 
Accepting donations of turkeys, canned vegetables, sides, and desserts.

Catawba Nation Food Pantry

Rock Hill, SC
Supports tribal elders and families through the Nation’s Food Sovereignty Program. Currently seeking financial donations and shelf-stable food contributions to offset reduced federal funding. Contact: olivia.musselman@catawba.com

Blue Shelter Grocery Giveaway
2738 N. Graham St., Charlotte, NC
Saturday, November 22 | 12:00–3:00 PM
Community-led grocery giveaway with free groceries, hot food, and wellness kits. Donations of canned goods, hygiene items, and nonperishables welcome.

Masjid Ash Shaheed Weekly Food Drive

400 W. Sugar Creek Rd., Charlotte, NC
Every Sunday | Donations: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM | Distribution: 2:00–3:00 PM
Ongoing drive supporting local residents through weekly grocery distribution.

 

Summit Coffee Food Drive
4701 Goose Creek Dr., Suite B, Charlotte, NC
Through November 20
HC Run Crew and CLT Running Club are partnering with the Hope Street Food Pantry to collect nonperishable food items. Donations accepted during Thursday morning run meetups.
Time: 6:00 AM Thursdays
